We also accept bank transfers in Euro from the Eurozone.
International bank transfers in currency other than the Euro incur high costs which we cannot accept.
Euro cheques are accepted from French residents only.
We offer layaway if requested on higher priced articles. The deposit or 30% of the article price is a non returnable deposit.

Returns & exchanges
French Vintage Life adheres to the European Directive on distance selling. This gives you the right to change your mind about a purchasing decision up to 14 days after the day on which you receive your item(s) from us.
To inform us that you are exercising your right of withdrawal, you can:

Should you choose to return an item, the costs of shipping in both direction are your responsibility.
The items must be shipped back to us on the day after the day you receive the goods so that we receive them within 14 days.
The risk of damage or loss of goods in transit is borne by you, or any third party you use to return the items so please consider insurance to cover this risk.
Should you decide to return your item(s) you will be refunded in the same manner as your payment, within 14 days of your request to withdraw, and on receipt of the returned goods, if the item is not as described. Other reasons for return will result in a store credit rather than a refund.
I cannot take responsibility for any loss you bear due to currency exchange fluctuations between the date of your payment and your refund.
Our items are vintage. Their character is formed by age. This means that they will have patina, marks, dust and signs of wear.
Your feedback is important to us and we do our best to describe items thoroughly. We are not antiques or fabric experts. We encourage you to view the available images carefully to form your own opinion before purchasing.
We package items carefully and securely. The costs and risks associated with shipping are borne by the buyer.
If you are unhappy with your purchase, please do not leave neutral or negative feedback without speaking to us first. We will do our best to provide an amicable solution.
If you purchase with insurance and need to claim for an item damaged in transit, it is important that you ask the delivery person to sign to the effect that the package is damaged on arrival. Failure to do so may prevent a successful claim.

Items are shipped less than 48 hours after payment in most cases. You will be contacted with a dispatch date and when possible, an expected delivery date.
If you would like insurance or signed for delivery, please convo us prior to order so we can provide you with an accurate cost. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
We combine multiple orders to save you postage wherever possible, so don't hesitate to convo us with your requirements and we will make a correctly priced reserved listing for you.
We use the following postal methods:
Livres & Brochures, which is a service for books & documents but there is no tracking with this service.
Lettre Suivie, which is the basic service without insurance and without the need for signed for receipt. Tracking is provided with this service.
Colissimo International / Emballage - which is trackable, has insurance and requires signed for receipt. The European weight limit is 30kg, the rest of the world.
Please always ask about shipping rates or in fact any postal questions before purchase.
We do not generally use any postal service that does not offer signed for receipt on purchase of $35 or over.
Please never ask us to put fraudulent information onto customs forms, this is against the law and we will always refuse to do this.
Be aware that shipping costs, customs duty and shipping taxes are the buyers responsibility.
We charge shipping and packaging at cost price.
