This handheld flour sifter from the late 1950s, earlier 1960s still has the original label and price - $1.49 - on it. The Triple Screen Sifter boasts of its "polished triple plate chrome" on the vintage label. While the entire label is intact, there is some staining, as seen in the photos.
The aluminum sifter was made in Japan for the Aluminum Housewares Co. Inc. of St. Louis, Mo. and shows a catalog No. 702.
The sifter is not perfect - it has some rust on the bottom screen and some scratches in the black handle. But there are no dents or dings in the aluminum itself.
The sifter measures 5 1/2 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter (without the handle). It handles three cups of flour.
