Razor strop for knives, knives and tools.

It has one of the leather soft Pony and other more rugged for the settler's edges.

Both are mounted on a wooden Batten of is perfectly smooth and grinding of 2, 4cm thick.

Colt leather is one of the best materials to seat the edges of cutting tools, for its resistance to wear and a flower very homogeneous and soft.

Spain is one of the best producers of this material, and in this case it's a cordovan vegetable tanning, with flower polished to achieve a greater homogeneity and hurry in the seated leaving finely polished edges.

Likewise the leather for the performance of this function is pressed with heat to tighten the skin and prevent, as it is the case with leather more thick, forming a 'wave' that blind cutting edge.

The razor strop is accompanied by a small block of chromium that can be used to apply it to the part more aspera of the razor strop.

20cm long x 6, 5cm width x 2, 4cm depth

Leather Colt at 2mm iron and polished cordovan leather.

How to use:

The most aspera (meat) can permeate the dough to make it more abrasive, so be prepared block oxide of chromium in the following manner:

Mix equal parts of the block in a boat with universal solvent (toluene), let stand for 48hours and dissolved once spread over the surface of the meat as a pigment.

To settle a cutting edge after sharpening is necessary to pass the blade gently and keeping the inclination of the same against the rough part repeatedly up to see that this polished edge

Once this clean edge and repeat the operation on the part more smooth and soft (flower) to finish the setting.

The most smooth and soft (flower) may be wiped with oil (Ballistol, olive, vegetable) to nurture it and both surfaces after continued use may be polished with fine sandpaper to clean them.

It is recommended not tighten seat edge and try to keep the angle of inclination equal to of the sharpening.
