This listing has been update as of March 2016 to allow you to pick out individual beads or bead pairs in as many as you would like to purchase in my Chocolate Stoneware Clay.
HOW TO ORDER:
Please leave the first quantity box at "1", and pick your "TOTAL QUANTITY" from the second pull down menu box.
Check out and in the Message To Seller please give me your quantity and color break down (see the second photo):
16 Total Beads breaks down into:
8 Glacier, 2 Copper, 6 Stone.
8 Bead Pairs (16 beads total):
4 Glacier, 1 Copper, 3 Stone.
The third photo is a sampling of the general sizes and shapes of the handmade beads I offer. These are intended for jewelry making and are in general about 8mm to 12mm in diameter. If you order pairs, I match the size up before glazing so they look more like an intended pair. You can always add comments into your order to give me a better direction on what you are looking for in this size range.
Take a look at the last photo for a bit of insight into my making process (I use porcelain and chocolate stoneware clay). I try to work in batches to make the same style of bead so I can easily make pairs or sets that are in a similar size range. But every bead shape and size will always vary a bit as they are made individually by hand. Each bead is handled through about 18 steps before it gets to the "ready for the customer" stage, and I enjoy every step along the way.
About the bead hole size:
I use a larger diameter bamboo skewer (which is on average is a bit above 2mm in diameter) to make the hole in the bead.
If you are planning on using up to a 2.2mm thickness of soft stringing material (leather, suede, silk, ribbon, cotton cord, etc) you should be able to get your material through this bead hole without much fuss.
When using a hard stringing material such as very, very thick gauge wire, or a round firm bracelet (like the metal bracelets used for some popular larger hole glass beads), there may be some difficulty getting these handmade beads onto those due to the exact roundness of the wire, and the potential oblong shaped handmade hole (it happens - holes can get a bit wonky).
If you need to see the color zoomed in, please pick the 2nd or 3rd photo then hit the little ZOOM button (magnifier glass symbol).

Once I receive your order:
1. I will make the beads or if on hand, pull the beads you request from my unglazed stock.
2. Each bead will be hand painted in the glazes from your palette.
3. After drying, the bead holes are cleaned and the beads are loaded onto bead rods so they do not touch and then they are fired in my kiln to 2232 degrees F.
4. Once the kiln is cool and beads unloads (a 24 hour process), I quality check them for defects.
5. If they are good to go, I wrap them, pack them, then I then mail them off to you via USPS First Class Parcel mail (see my policy section for shipping options and upgrades).
This process should take no more than an estimated 2 to 3 weeks in my studio plus shipping time to get to you.
If I get a little backed up with orders and need to make the beads to fill your order, then please add an extra week into the estimated lead time.
Thank you for your understanding and acceptance of my handmade process and the variations in your unique handmade beads that you will receive from me. I hope you enjoy working with these as much as I have enjoyed making them for you.

Shipping & policies
USPS SHIPPING RATE INCREASE 1/17/16.
Please see the shipping rate profile under each item listing. If there is more than a $2 difference in what I charge for shipping and what I pay, I will send you a refund via Etsy.
Items will ship by USPS First Class Mail within a couple of days of payment, often I am able to ship within 24 hours or less.
All packages will ship First Class or Priority Flat Rate. I purchase my shipping labels through Etsy and you should receive a notification that your shipment has been shipped, and the tracking number will be in that email.
You may also request insurance for your package before your package ships or in the message to seller when checking out in case of loss or damage.
Add (to be determined on the value of your shipment). I do ship most packages insured without any extra cost (on orders up to $50). And it is up to you to contact the USPS with your tracking if the item has not shown up to file an insurance claim. Please let me know to so I can do what I can on my end.
If you are in a rush for your item, you can also request that your item is upgraded to USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail for your item (as long as your item is ready to ship and also, as long as I have not already shipped your item - I do tend to ship the same day).
Add +$3 for USPS Small Flat Rate Priority Mail (box and envelope)
For any of these upgrades, convo me immediately after placing your order about, wait for my confirmation that I can ship as requested for you, then please send payment for the upgrade as priced above via PayPal to Marsha@MarshaNealStudio.com.
There has been a huge increase in International shipping from the US as of the close of business on 1/26/13 AND again on 1/17/16.
US First Class Parcel Packages to international locations vary by weight and destination. On Average $11 to $16 USD.
Priority Mail International and Global Express are both considerably more.
I do not add insurance or delivery confirmation to international orders, I can only provide you with the US Customs label to show when I shipped your item, and when it leaves the US. You may request additional insurance for your shipment when you place the order.
If your package does not arrive to you, I cannot ship out a replacement order for no charge as there is nothing I can do to make sure your item arrives to your doorstep. This is why insurance is an option.
If you are not ok with this, and want to cancel your order, please do so immediately as I often ship the same day.
I also understand that many packages are taxed when you receive the item. Please do not request that I falsify information to avoid you having to pay excessive tax amounts. This is illegal, and I am not willing to pay the consequences. Please do not even ask.
All international shipments are processed through Etsy and USPS so the value of your package is entered directly into the computer and printed on your label. Nothing shipping international is processed hand written here in the US anymore.
If your item is something I need to make (some of the decal pendants, anything that needs to be made into jewelry), your complete order will ship as soon as all the items are ready. You may request partial shipments and please be prepared to pay for both shipments.
Marsha Neal Studio Etsy shop accepts direct checkout and Etsy Gift Cards, PayPal as well as check and money orders.
Money Orders should arrive within 5-7 days of the sale close, Paypal & Other Electronic Payments should be within 3 days.
If you are purchasing a couple of listings that qualify for a quantity discount (2mm silks, silky ribbons or fairy ribbons) I will refund the quantity discount before your order ships.
If you fail to make payment within the specified amount of time, the item will go back for sale on Etsy.
Marsha Neal Studio, LLC is located in Delaware, USA (Delaware has no sales tax to add onto sales).
