FAQs

A. A diffuser’s intent is to disperse essential and fragrance oils around a room via a vapor. Each diffuser has a manual providing directions to maintaining it. One standard way to clean your diffuser is by adding clean water halfway and well below the max line. Add up to 10 drops of pure white vinegar. Let the diffuser run for about 3-5 minutes to allow the water-vinegar mixture to disperse throughout the unit and clean it. Drain the diffuser completely. Using a cotton swab dipped in vinegar, clean the tight spots and corners of the diffuser to make sure that no spots are left dirty. Rinse with clean water. Empty again and you’re good to go. Use a dry cloth to dry cloth to dry it thoroughly.

A. I use apothecary jars for my 12 and 16 oz candles, PET cosmetic FDA approved containers for bath salts and body scrub, massage oil and lotion cosmetic bottles for massage oil. I use amber glass bottles for essential and diffuser oils to preserve the life and reduce UV exposure. I also consider shipping costs impact when determining packaging since they are based on weight. I use mostly rattan baskets which are lighter weight, bath salt and body scrub containers are light weight plastic and essential and diffuser oil bottles are small enough they are lower weight. Also, I use the lightest possible packaging for my herbal teas and potpourri.

A. Soy wax was discovered in 1991 as an alternative to paraffin wax and is natural, renewable, non-toxic and biodegradable. It’s a hydrogenated form of soybean oil with a slightly lower melting point than paraffin wax. Soy wax burns longer and at a cooler temperature and is softer than paraffin wax. My 12 and 16 oz. candles are made with advanced formula 100% EcoSoya Soy Wax. My Pillar candles are made with a 100% EcoSoya Soy Pillar/Votive wax. I use 100% Eco cotton wicks coated in a vegetable based wax. Soy wax has a melt point of 120-135'.

A. My plan is to use social media and blogs as a way of educating and sharing even more beneficial and useful information about aromatherapy and the benefits of salts. I will include tips to reduce stress and increase opportunities for relaxation in life. My purpose is to help people thrive in life, not just survive.

A. Yes I have my own formulas for all of my oil blends which are put together to create the scent associated with the outcome or feeling I’m trying to create. My Essential oil blends included in my baskets use combinations of: Lavender, Bergamot, Cedar, Roman and Moroccan Chamomile, Marjoram, Ylang Ylang, Vanilla, Hawaiian Sandalwood, Clary Sage, Tangerine, Cypress, Peppermint, Basil, Grapefruit Pink, Grapefruit White, Osmanthus, Lemon, Helichrysum, Camphor, Wintergreen, Mandarin, Frankincense, Spearmint, Spruce, HoWood, Orange, Patchouli, Elemi, Melissa, Tea Tree

A. I first started with the state or feeling I wanted to accomplish through the scents. Then I associated everyday things and phrases to those feelings focusing on a few options per category. Most of the feelings are the physical, mental and emotional state we want to get to every day. I then started with the candle names/scents and categorized them by state of feelings. Then I walked through a process of matching up each product to the theme of the basket.

A. If you can make time to soak in a bath salts bath 1 time per week you are receiving the benefit. If you can soak 2-3 times per week you will really feel the difference in your energy levels and reduce sluggishness due to the detoxing effects. You should start with hot water to dissolve the salt and get into the tub when the water is tolerable. A soak should last 20-30 minutes and keep in mind the most beneficial part is the last 10 minutes when the water starts to cool down. Dirty water left in the tub is a really great way to see how effective your soak was. Gray/Dark = lots of toxins removed!

A. I have always wanted to own my own business, but my ideas took huge investments and to quit my job. I love what I do! I also have had many hobbies in aromatherapy, beauty alchemy, candle addictions, herbal teas, stress relief and oils. My other passion is helping others through mentoring, coaching and offering tips on how to live more fully. About 6 months after I decided I wanted to start my own Etsy shop the idea hit me! It was when I linked in something I did that had purpose. It all made sense. Things I had been learning about, doing myself and trying to offer even more women and men all came to this point of products that helped to provide a feeling, relaxation and improved health! It’s been amazing since:)

A. I plan to roll out a new candle scent the 1st of each month (Candle of the Month). I will be adding massage oil, bath bombs, men's scents (candles, diffuser oil, basket), a teen selection and basket and a children's basket. I will rotate scents for candles and diffuser oils - new sellers for poor sellers every few months.

I truly struggle with finding candles that don't give me a headache or smell chock full of chemicals...and when I do find them (Pottery Barn or Anthropologie), they are so pricey that I'm unable to enjoy them. I am happy to report, that I can't get enough of the clean and fresh scent of my new candle from MeFirst4Us. It burns clean and smells natural instead of the harsh artificial perfumes of most candles. I'm looking forward to checking out the other scents!
