PDF PATTERN not the actual scarf.
This is an instant download that will help you create a lacy scarf in the Old Shale pattern using chunky yarn. You can make it in any colour.
Size: 7.5 inches x 55 inches (19 cm x 139.7 cm) (note: length may vary depending on the tension and the colour of yarn)
Needs: Ability to cast on and off, to knit and purl
Straight knitting needles sized 9mm, thick and chunky acrylic yarn
A lovely lacy chunky knit scarf which is a great way to learn the Old Shale pattern. Old Shale is a very traditional knitting pattern which is often used for shawls and blankets. This is knitted in acrylic yarn weight 6. It would make a great gift.
It looks complicated but is quite straightforward to learn.
The PDF includes photos and instructions. It doesn't use any difficult stitches.
After payment you can download the pattern. Patterns are not refundable due to their easily copied nature, but if you have a problem please send me a note!
Please do not sell or redistribute this pattern, or its photos. You may do whatever you want with the finished product.

MISSING/DAMAGED (OH NO!) (OWLS DID IT)
If a shipped parcel is lost (not delivered after 25 business days) or damaged, contact me to discuss options, such as refund/replacement. Maybe I can replace it, or you'd rather have a refund. Let me know there is a problem and we'll fix it. In this case I pay the postage.
If damaged, I may ask for a photo so I can change future packaging methods. Every situation is slightly different, but Mouse will make it right.
If you are not happy with an item, please let me know. **Returns must be approved first. Mouse doesn't want random things arriving in the mail. It's a small mailbox. Tell me you want to return it first before sending.
Once approved, returns must be sent back in a secure package (unwashed and unworn/sellable & in one piece) within 14 days of receiving it. **The buyer is responsible for return shipping unless it was significantly not as described or something happened to the parcel, see above. Also, it can not be returned by courier, and must be marked as a merchandise return on the customs form.
Refunds only upon return of item. If an item is not returned in original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Basically, tell me you want to return it, I say yes, then you wrap it carefully, return it in clean sellable condition and get a refund.
Yes, if I haven't already posted it. I try to post things quickly, so if you change your mind, run to the keyboard, run!
Photos are as accurate as possible but colours may vary depending on your computer monitor. Also digital cameras do not cope well with pink/red/sea green shades which may be slightly different.
As with all handmade things, there may be small differences even between items with the same pattern, especially if I'm using variegated thread/yarn which changes colour randomly.
Each card is signed in thread where it does not show. The material is sewn so it doesn't fray. Every card is blank inside and comes with an envelope. All designs are by me unless stated otherwise.
All are machine washable unless noted otherwise. Cold water, delicate, lay flat to dry, or a few minutes in a dryer on low.
Hand knitted scarves have ends that are woven into the scarf, but may come loose over time with wear and washing. They can be tucked back in with a crochet hook or darning needle. It is just where I changed colours or ran out of yarn and started a new ball. Don't cut it, just tuck it back in, and everything will be fine.
THAT'S NOT IT?
If you have a question not covered here, please send me a note and I'll get back to you as soon as possible, allowing for time zone differences.
