Item details

A big pillow for a big boy! I made this one for my youngest son, who is a great fan of Doctor Who, but of course you could use any large-scale novelty fabric to make a personalised pillow for your little hero (male or female).

The block used to showcase the novelty fabric is the so-called snowball block, which is very easy to put together. Make sure to use a contrasting colour for the corner squares.

Skill Level: 1 out of 5 (Beginner)

Finished size: 26'' x 26''

Fabric requirements:
- 5/8 yard novelty fabric – you will need more if you fussy-cut the squares
- ½ yard yellow fabric
- ¾ yard backing fabric
- 27½’’ x 27½’’ batting

Other requirements:
- Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
- Fabric marker
- Threads for piecing and quilting
- Iron and ironing board
- Sewing machine with ¼’’ foot for piecing and walking foot for quilting
- 26’’pillow insert (I bought mine at Ikea)
- Quilters’ safety pins

PLEASE NOTE - This listing is for the PDF pattern only, not a printed paper pattern or a finished pillow. The pattern is available as a PDF file only and you should have instant access to it upon completion of your purchase.
