Here's what I think about shipping: Get it to customer as inexpensively and as quickly as a mother of four can possibly do. I ship two days a week, hence my 1-2 day shipping in the listings....if you need something quicker, let me know and I will accommodate you. Some listings have free shipping, some not. In checkout you have the option to send Priority or Regular Mail. Honestly, the price is not that different with all our discounts. I recommend Priority, you are insured up to 50.00 for free.
I will combine shipping at no cost to you. HONESTLY. I do charge a small handling fee of $1 or $1.50 on each item. So I figure that's enough! If you want to buy more than one item from my shop - you're my people for sure!
I will ship internationally to most counries, It is available in checkout. If something is not. I usually ship overseas via UPS, not USPS, just an FYI, for Y.O.U....
I wrap my items with the greatest of care and use every means available to get it to you from my end in one piece. Let's just say I was THE designated Christmas Present wrapper in my house growing up. I am very meticulous and thorough.
I accept PayPal and credit cards as my payment options. Also, Etsy gift Cards. Let me know you are going to use one. And, finally, I will accept money orders. This is how it works, when I receive your money order, I ship the item. Simple as that.
I expect payment quickly, so I can get your purchase to you quickly. After about three days I will start to bug you. You don't want that now do you? If you really, really, really, want something and payday is Friday, it's Monday, I have been known to put items on hold. Just ask. But remember, Sue in DesMoines might be thinking of buying the item too. If I hear from someone about an item on hold that they want to purchase, I will give you 48 hours to get payment to me, then, it's Sue's. This has gotten me in trouble before because I really believe in the goodness of people!
Speaking of goodness. I have sold on Ebay for 13 years and I can count on my hand the number of naughty buyers that have gotten a hold of me. Please don't be one of those. I will report you to Etsy.
The more we talk the better our relationship. The better our relationship the more we can trust each other..Whoa, I better stop I sound like a shrink..
Returns & exchanges
Just like my Ebay shop I have a generous refund policy. I will accept returns...Here are the conditions:
1. It comes back to me in the same shape I sent it to you. 2. You are not returning it because it has a flaw that I noted, or doesn't work, which I told you, or is taller than the measurements I had in the listing....etc. etc. 3.If your item arrives broken, or goes missing, and it was shipped Priority with insurance I will refund your money absolutely. Then I will file a claim with them and boy will they hear from me. Hence, choose Priority. If it's over 50.00 tell me you want extra insurance and I will add to the invoice. 4. You have contacted me within 7 days to tell me the reason for the return. 5. You ship the item back within 14 days. 6. You pay the return shipping and I will refund you half of it. 7. I do not charge a "restocking" fee. I'm not Amazon for goodness sakes.
Regarding Vintage items. We do not clean, wash or otherwise disturb the item. If I have done so, I will tell in the listing. You know what they say on "Antiques Roadshow" - leave it in its original condition. So it may be dusty, smell musty, etc. You agree to those conditions when you purchase. Now, if its dripping with mud....
