This is a downloadable PDF antique pattern for a beautiful lace edging. "Limerick Lace" is a gorgeous crochet pattern for lace border, and dates from 1912. As the page it is on is extremely fragile, I have retyped instructions *exactly* as the original pattern has specified (no editing on my end). It is in PDF download format, and is much easier to read and follow than the original! (I think yellowed paper and tiny print could make anyone's eyes hurt!) :-) That said, since this is an old pattern, it might have terminology slightly different than what current patterns use.
The pattern description reads: "A very handsome border for sideboard-scarf or any article requiring a heavy, elaborate finish. Made with No. 30 linen thread."
I think this would be an awesome edging for pillowcases, or whatever else you think could use a lacy accent!
