The picture of the door gives you an idea of what difference adding hand hammered clavos does to a door or any furniture. Remember that all of our hardware is hand made, piece by piece, and the sizes are approximate. They are not machine made and therefore all slightly different. Please understand that...All of our nails have a threaded nail about 1-1.25 inches long. All our rustic hardware line is durable iron, hand forged and rusted. Yes they will be rusty. Our line of hardware comes unsealed (rusty). You can choose to seal it or paint it. We leave that choice to you. Remember that the clavos are round and convex with a nail attached to the back side. To install, if it is a hard wood, simply pre-drill a small hole (smaller than the nail) and pound it in. If the wood is soft, you can usually get away with just hammering the clavo.
