Pucci gown / dress and shawl vintage sewing pattern - Vogue Couturier Design - Vogue 2603 - from the 1970s - Bust 32.5
Emilio Pucci Vogue Couturier Design Sewing Pattern - Vogue 2603 - Vintage 1970s Designer Gown / Dress and Shawl - 1971
Here's a glamorous Pucci pattern you don't see everyday. This elegant dress and shawl can be made using three different fabrics, as shown in the pattern photo, or one single fabric, as depicted in the pattern illustration. With its raised bodice, this beautiful design will flatter any figure.
From the pattern envelope: "Misses' At-Home Dress and Shawl. Evening length dress, tri-color or one color, has high fitted bodice, front and back scoop neckline, cutaway armholes, contour waistline, gathered skirt with braid and fringe trim. Purchased contour belt. Tri-color or self square shawl has fringe trim."
Featured in Vogue International Pattern Book October/November 1971 and in Vogue Pattern Fashion News November 1971
Suggested fabrics: soft fabrics such as crepe, jersey and lightweight wool.
If this is not your size, but you are interested in customizing the fit of this design, please see Threads magazine's helpful article describing the process in detail: http://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/4424/quick-reference-for-cut-and-spread-pattern-grading (by Terry Horlamus, from Threads #101, pp. 66-70).
There are 7 total pattern pieces.
Condition: Very good. Wear, tear and yellowing, commensurate with pattern age. Some wrinkling of pattern envelope. Envelope flap is present. Pattern pieces are partially cut out. To my eye, the colored graphics appear sharper and more vibrant in real life than they do in the photos. Please see all photos.
This item is an original vintage sewing pattern. I am not an expert pattern dater, but this pattern is believed to be from 1971. This vintage sewing pattern does not include a finished garment, notions, fabric or a fabric label.
