ITEM: Made with vintage silk ribbon as well as vintage American rayon ribbon, here's a handmade, hand rolled applique of a pair of florals placed upon a rayon ribbon background (that sort of looks like a double bow). The ribbon work applique is done in tones of blue violet and olive green with a touch of white. Entirely hand made with thread.
CONDITION: Well, I think it turned out rather well.
SIZE: 2" x 1-1/4 approx.
FINAL COMMENTS: A lovely piece of ribbonwork ready for application to another project. Ideas? Well, a doll hat, doll dress, maybe a sachet, a small box, a lamphade, an ornament, maybe turn into a small pin for a lapel - the ideas are endless. I show the piece against an Art Deco frame - you can see how my design complements the edging trim - I'd say my inspiration is definitely from the Art Deco period. Anyway, because of the pips, this piece should NOT be used on a piece of clothing that needs washing - the pips would not hold up well under a wash.
I ship as soon as I can, usually 1-2 days within the purchase date. Sometimes there are delays but not many - usually family and the weather are the main culprits.
Payment methods accepted: Paypal (of course), cheques/checks, money orders and yes, I can do layaway. Just ask about my terms.

Additional return information
Not happy? Just doesn't work for you? Just send it back and I will offer a full refund on the purchase price only. Layaway pieces are handled a little differently - usually I apply a 15% restocking fee if the item has been "on hold" for a very long time. Most dealers do "no refunds" on either the deposits or layaway itself. I think this a little harsh as you never know what is going to crop up in the way of an emergency and sometimes a person does have to hold onto their money due to such a situation.
Right now, I don't really accept custom orders but if you e-mail me, and I have the time, I might just be able to accommodate your request!
