Item details

This pattern was born out of years of creating infant crocheted clothing. I especially like the fact that this one pattern is so versatile. It will tell you how to create the style for boys AND girls. The brim acts as a sun shield in warm weather. It elevates picture taking to a new level and brings many compliments and smiles. You will not stop after making just one. It is EASY and makes up QUICKLY. You can create an entire wardrobe of hats in every color imaginable and love them all.

The brim is a lot of fun. It can be made to look like a cowboy hat, a bowler or a sun bonnet.

I recommend that you use a closely twisted 4 ply yarn. Extra soft yarns will give you a floppy hat. An F or G needle works well for me. If you are an experienced crocheter you will finish this hat in one hour or less! If you are a beginner, you may want to make your first one in the company of a crafty friend.

This pattern is EASY, INEXPENSIVE AND FAST. It has directions for infants and toddlers.

Imagine the boy style with a faux leather band and a feather. One could make a green one for St. Patrick's Day and a black one for a formal occasion.

The girl style can be dressed up with crocheted or ribbon flowers, buttons, ribbons and bling.

I would love to see pictures of your completed projects.
