Hand dyed self striping sock yarn in 75% superwash wool with 25% nylon for extra durability. The gradient stripes alternate between a soft pine needle green and green-ish brown. I dyed this on April 5th while listening to Nirvana's MTV Unplugged session, so the name came sort of naturally.
Each colour repeat is around 15 rows on 2½ mm/US1½ needles, with standard 64 stitch socks.
This listing is for a 100 g skein containing 425 meters/464 yards of yarn. The base used is a high-quality German made sock yarn. Soft and easy to knit with, great stitch definition, and extremely hard-wearing so you can have your socks for years and years.
Machine washable on gentle/30°C. My yarns are dyed with professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed after dyeing, however slight bleeding may occur the first few washes, so please wash separately.
I share my home with two cats, and although I try to keep the yarn and the kitties separately, I cannot guarantee that the yarn is completely free of cat hair.
I try to represent the colours as accurately as I can, but please keep in mind that all monitors differ, and that the colour you see on your screen may be slightly different from the actual colour of the yarn.
This yarn is absolutely GORGEOUS! The colors are even prettier in person and it gives great stitch definition. Im knitting Danielle Jorge's Twas the Night Before Christmas Socks and so far they are looking AMAZING knit up in this yarn.
