This fabulous lace is perfect to emulate the smaller Elizabethan and Jacobean laces used for trimming the edge of coifs or smocks, and has the profile of a needle lace or early bobbin lace in imitation of needle lace. It would also make an excellent edging for a not-too-ostentations ruff. Price quoted is per yard - 36" (91cm)
**I have been lucky enough to find a large lot of old lace. I am not certain of the age but I believe it dates from the early 20th century. It is machine made (NOT a chemical lace), but in some of the closest designs to 16th century lace I have seen. What makes the find particularly exciting is the long lengths, which mean it can be used for ruffs**
Dimensions: 3/8 inch deep, price is for one yard
Condition: excellent, unused.
This lace is off-white not pure white. It's beautiful as it is. However, if you decided to whiten it, it bleaches really easy using Napisan or a similar product.
