This purple Tradescantia (not frost hardy) rapidly produces long trailing stems, and clusters of small pink 3 petaled flowers at the end of "hammer-head" purple leaf bracts, when well established in a sunny position. This plant requires a little shade, as prolonged direct sunlight turns the leaves glassy. Too much shade (deep shade) will result in weak growth. Allow to dry slightly over Winter, water frequently Summer, although can go dry between watering (2/3 wks. max.) The 2 Litre hanging pot in photo is display only, 1 and 2 Litre potted plants supplied.
Easy to grow. Drought tolerant. Peat free. U.K. grown.
The order was packaged wonderfully; the plants arrived in ok condition, but the seller made up for this with extra other plants, and a free hanging pot.
The seller was very helpful and provided lots of useful information. I will be buying from him again, and recommending him to others.
