Jaburg Brothers (1885-1951).Manufacturer of bakery supplies and machinery. Advertised chocolate moulds under the name of "Jay Bee Moulds"; sold through jobbers such as Thos. The rating of chocolate molds: Page 60 in “Chocolate Moulds: A History and Encyclopedia” by Judene Divone copyright 1987
Molds listed “R” are Rare: due to age, the small number produced, the use of multiple pieces, or are designs rarely found in this country.
All other molds are rated by letter and number, from A-1 to D-4. The letter A is the highest rating, D the lowest; then further defined by the number.
The ratings take into consideration the type of mold (common or unique), its age, the manufacturer (styling and detail), the subject matter, and the number produced.
All of the molds I sell have been used in a candy making business between 1955-1985.
Signs of use are visible where the clips are put on and taken off around the sides.
Two to four clips will be included with the mold, depending on the size of the mold.
