A plough plane with an adjustable fence for cutting grooves in timber. The metal plate stops the blade from wandering off the intended groove. The plane was made in the early 1900s and would have been still in use well into the 20th century in workshops where there were no moulding machines.
Old tools need not only be used in ateliers, as this one could still be, but it would also make a decorative object in its own right, in almost any setting. This plough plane was manufactured in the days when things were always made by hand and thus deserving either a long retirement or once again a productive and creative life.
8.5"/22cm wide x 10"/25cm deep x 6"/15cm high
Please note all our items are vintage and thus will show some signs of age, sometimes a lot, and that we try to show these in our photographs.

If you wish to purchase several items from Marchepuces at the same time, then please send an Email or convo so that we can re-calculate and combine your shipping fee.
We send packages weighing less than 2kg worldwide by French Priority Airmail, which includes tracking, and your purchase usually arrives between 5 to 10 working days, sometimes a little longer. The "customs" of receiving countries can sometimes create some delays.
If your purchase exceeds 2kg, then we sometimes choose to ship in two or more separate packages to keep the postage cost down. If you would like insurance please contact us for the upgraded shipping fees.
We are always happy to combine shipping whenever possible & will refund overpayments as appropriate.

We pack well & carefully & have very rarely had a shipment arrive damaged; we can not be deemed responsible for damage incurred during shipping though in our experience the percentage of such damage is very low. If you were unlucky enough to receive a damaged item then please contact us.
All our items are sent with tracking. We are not responsible for the non delivery of uninsured items. Please note that should you require insurance then please ask so we can advise you of the cost and it is VERY IMPORTANT, regarding Postal\Transport Damage that you read below:-
All items are carefully wrapped and therefore we cannot be held responsible for mishandling whilst in the post. If you have asked for insurance then upon receipt of your parcel, if you see that it is obviously damaged or broken, then open it in front of the postman and ask him to sign a statement if the contents are damaged (take a photo too if possible). With this paper the French La Poste company will reimburse the contents at the declared value.
Without that as evidence, the insurance will NOT be reimbursed.
The items that we sell are used and have inevitably been handled and show some signs of wear or age. We will disclose all major defects such as cracks, chips, paint loss, discolorations, missing bits, etc, or any irregularities that we see. Please check the descriptions and photos carefully. If you have any questions or concerns about an object then please contact us before you purchase.
If you wish to chat about any items before buying then please send us a convo, as we would love to hear from you and can easily supply extra photos if required. Should you be interested in buying more than one item then there are two advantages for you in that we will offer you a discount by way of a "thank you" and the shipping cost will frequently cost less.
