This listing is for an instant download PDF PATTERN to make your own quilted improv pot holder / hot pad.

This is a great project to use up odd sized coordinating scraps. They are great to give as CHristmas or hostess gifts as well as selling at local craft fairs or markets. I wrote this pattern for a sewist or quilter who is familiar with sewing straight seams, back stitching, and pressing. You don't need any quilting experience but should be familiar with using your machine.

It will print on 3 sheets of paper with many color photographs and step-by-step directions. It will take about an hour to complete 1 pot holder. You will need:
Assorted rectangles, squares, and strips of cotton fabric
10 x 10 in cotton backing piece (will also become binding)
8 x 8 in Insul-Bright
8 x 8 in cotton batting (optional)
Cotton thread to match backing
5 ½ inches of ¼ to ½ inch wide ribbon (optional)

My pattern is protected by copyright, but you may sell the pot holders you make.
