Recently I have been working to become adept at transferring images onto polymer clay. Inspired by an awesome tutorial by Cindy Lietz, who teaches how to transfer absolutely any and all paper images, I have managed to create these modern blue chess pattern knobs.
They are really cool, but sooooo difficult to photograph----a combination of my limited photography skills combined with the fact that the clay veneer is covered by a glass cabochon which produces glare, even without flash. The fourth photo above includes an actual piece of the clay "fabric" which is encased to create the knobs.
The primary photo and the third one were submitted by a client who generously gave me permission to use it in the listing. As she said, and I agree with her, this pic provides the most accurate rendering of the true colors, especially against a white cabinet.
The diameter of the brushed nickel knob is 1.25 " with a 0.5" back extension. The height with the glass cabochon is approx. 1.5".
The clay "fabric" was created using the transfer technique, then cut to fit the inside of the knob. It was adhered with professional strength adhesive, then encased below the glass. Because this is clay and not paper, it will not fade or deteriorate over time.
I have twenty of these available, but can create more as needed. TURNAROUND TIME DEPENDS ON NUMBER NEEDED.
I offer discounts on larger orders. Please contact me for more info about this or with any other questions you might have.
Two lengths of installation hardware are included peer knob.
I ship via the United States Postal Service. Domestic shipping (USPS Priority and USPS First Class Package Shipping) will include minimally $50.00 of insurance and a tracking number. These fees are included in the cost of the items.
When a purchase is made I will do my very best to estimate a shipping date. Turnaround time depends on the size of the order and thus, the time I need to make the best quality items.
Shipping dates are estimates.
Shipping fees are included in my pricing.
At this time I ship only throughout the US.
Please contact me with any additional shipping questions.
I accept credit cards, PayPal and Etsy gift cards. Remember that Etsy handles all of the financial part so there is no need for me to ever have access to your credit card info etc.
Payment must be made prior to shipping. I am willing to divide payments into manageable amounts for the buyer, but full payment must be rendered before item(s) ship.
Returns & exchanges
I want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not, I gladly issue refunds if the following conditions are met.
1. The buyer must contact me prior to returning the items to let me know you are requesting a return/ refund and provide the reason.
2.All of the item(s) in question must be returned in the same condition in which they were sent. If the order arrived to you damaged, please provide photos--this way I can improve my packing methods, etc. Also, I will need them in order to file a claim with the post office,
3. If the items arrive in good condition but the buyer does not like them for whatever reason, I ask the buyer to incur the cost of return shipping AND PROVIDE A TRACKING NUMBER so that I can keep track of the return status.. If there is an error on my part in creating and/or delivering the order, or if it has arrived to you damaged, I will incur the cost for return shipping in addition to providing a refund for any or all the items returned to me . 4. The items must be back in the mail to me within ten days of receiving them. 5.. Once the items have arrived back to me, I will immediately and gladly issue a refund.
If you have any questions about my refund policy, just contact me.
Let me say again that I love doing custom orders-----I don't charge for anything, including the time I will devote to creating your perfect pull, until we agree that we are "there". Only then will I post the custom order in my shop so that you can proceed with the purchase. Again, contact me with any questions about this.
