This furoshiki features a collection of works by renowned print artist Hokusai, and The theme is ghouls and ghosts. The ones assembled here are renditions of otherworldly beings from centuries old folk tales and legend.
Tales of such creatures have been passed down through the years, and there was a time, no doubt, when naughty children were kept in line with threats of a visit from one or more of these scary apparitions!
Furoshiki are traditional Japanese wrapping cloths. This one's about 50cm x 50cm(19.69" x 19.69") and is high quality 100% cotton.
This one has navy borders. I also have this motif with deep red borders listed separately here:
The rich colors and texture and size have made these smaller furoshiki quite popular for home decor and in sewing projects! They can also be used as a furoshiki to wrap small objects-please take care to measure first, allowing ample room for tying.

Very cool designs; beautiful but grotesque at the same time. Good quality.
