Wool rope pouf PDF pattern - knit pouf with crochet cord, felting and stuffing instructions
This is a digital file
This pattern shows you how to knit and assemble a wool rope pouf, starting with how to make your own felted wool cord out of a crocheted chain. It also includes instructions on how to stuff your pouf with soft and firm options.
There are 3 sizes included in the pattern: XLG (18-inch diameter), XXLG (21-inch) and giant (24-inch).
The pattern comes as a PDF file, which should become available to download as soon as your payment clears.
This is not the actual knit pouf! If you are interested in purchasing a finished knit pouf, please contact me for a custom order.
Difficulty: Moderate. The knitting part is easy — the pattern uses a basic garter stitch. And because the rope is so thick, you only need a few stitches per row. You will also need to know how to crochet a simple chain, although there are instructions in the pattern as well. And there is some assembly involved in stuffing the pouf.
Cost: The wool yarn costs around $6 per skein and it takes 16 skeins to make an XLG pouf. You will also need about 2 yards of fabric in a matching color and something to stuff inside your pouf. The size 36 circular knitting needle can cost anywhere from $10-$25. Of course you can always use the pattern as a starting point and substitute your own materials.
