Item details

Floe is a seamless circular yoke sweater, worked from the bottom up.

Two yarns are held together, a 4ply wool and a lace mohair and silk blend. Together these yarns create an airy but warm fabric with a beautiful halo.

The pattern can also be worked in a single DK weight yarn.

The seamless construction makes Floe a comfortable non constricting sweater and the round neck is flattering to most body types.

To knit this sweater you will need a knowledge of knitting seamlessly in the round. Instructions are given for wrap and turn short rows and Japanese short rows, but you can of course use whichever method you prefer. The stitch pattern is both written and charted.

The measurements given in the pattern are finished sizes. When choosing a size to knit you should add some ease to your bust measurement. Floe is shown here with 2 inches of positive ease.

The pattern covers bust sizes:
81 [86, 91.5, 96.5, 101.5, 106.5, 112] cm
32 [34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44] inches

The sample in the picture was knitted in Elann Soft Embrace 4ply wool held together with Elann Silken Kydd Mohair and Silk lace weight yarn.

You can use any DK weight yarn that knits to the correct tension/gauge.

Tension/Gauge: 22 sts x 32 rows to 10cm/4 inches square.

To knit this pattern you will need a basic knowledge of seamless knitting. It will help if you have worked short rows before but instructions are given in the pattern.

The pattern is supplied in pdf form. It is 7 pages long.
