Dragonfly is a historically inspired, "period appropriate" blackwork design, inspired by the little drawing of a smiling dragonfly in the 1634 "A Scholehouse For The Needle". It is suitable for the decoration of historic and modern clothing, household linens, and whatever else the stitcher can imagine.

Includes charts for embroidering a neckband for a "square necked" smock or shirt, a front-opening shirt, different sized bands for cuffs, collars, stripes, etc,and several small designs for use as spot motifs, pincushions, needlebooks, and sundry other useful and decorative objects.

SQUARE NECKBAND DIMENSIONS- the INSIDE dimensions of this pattern are approx. 9.3” wide by 6.” deep when worked  at 14 stitches/inch.

STITCH COUNTS of other major elements noted with charts.
