Vintage 1950s Butterick 6003 sewing pattern and instructions for SIX-GORE SKIRT IN DAY AND EVENING LENGTHS: "Quick & Easy" skirt takes on the new bell silhouette when worn over a stiff petticoat. Make it in the short length (A) for daytime and in the floor-length version (B) to team with blouses for formal or dress-up at-home wear.
Pattern is new, unused / uncut in factory-folded (FF) condition. The envelope has aged as seen in the photos with some discoloration on the front and back and a few small tears along the edges, but the instructions are 100% intact as are the pattern pieces.
This design is marked for a Misses' 24" Waist and 33" Hip though I would not be concerned with the sizing if the style and shape are right for your project. There are an endless number of websites and blogs offering step-by-step instructions on how to accurately resize vintage sewing patterns for the perfect fit.
Although the exact date of this pattern is unknown, the evolution of Butterick's method of sizing their patterns places it between 1956 and 1966.
