Here in the Smoky Mountains, the bears are coming out of hibernation and they are hungry! Berries top the menu for these hungry fellows that need to fatten up. If you have blue berries growing in your yard, beware! To honor our bears, I've put together a rug hooking kit based on one of my popular patterns.
In this kit, you will find a hand drawn pattern on primitive linen. The pattern is 8 x 8 on a 16 inch square canvass. The finished size is 9 x 9. New 100% wool fabric is included in a similar colorway to that shown in the picture. Nearly all of the wool is hand dyed. Yarn and cording are also included along with instructions and a picture. I zigzagged a row of stitching around the outer edge so all you have to do is trim it before adding the enclosed edging yarn.
If you need a hook, there is an option to purchase one along with the kit.
Please note. This is traditional rug hooking, not latch hooking. The materials used to complete this project are strips of wool cloth. Tools needed are a rug hook, a frame of some kind (embroidery, quilting, or rug hooking) to hold the pattern taut, scissors, and a large eye needle for finishing.
Great beginner kit, can't wait to give it a try! Thanks!
