Item details

"Jerusha" is an original, "period appropriate" counted blackwork design in historical style, inspired by a drawing in "Gerard's Herbal" (1597) and named for the friend who asked for "a pattern with columbines." It is suitable for the decoration of historic and modern clothing, household linens, and whatever else the stitcher can imagine.

Includes charts for embroidering a neckband for a "square necked" smock or shirt, a front-opening shirt, different sized bands for cuffs, collars, stripes, etc, and several small designs for use as spot motifs, pincushions, needlebooks, and sundry other useful and decorative objects.

SQUARE NECKBAND DIMENSIONS - At 14 stitches/inch, the INSIDE dimensions are approx. 9"w x 6.78" deep.
Stitch counts of other major elements noted on charts.
