The Buggy Carp Fly is tied on a size 6 curved nymph hook. The fly is weighted on the underside of the hook to assure that it rides hook-up. By weighing the fly on the underside it does not sink like a rock straight to the bottom which is advantageous when you encounter cruising carp. The fly is tied using a rabbit strip, partridge feather, mono-eyes, and shaggy dubbing. This is my favorite color combination as the fish can take it for a larger nymph and/or a smaller crayfish. Versatility is the name of the game when it come to Carp.
