Cricut Expression 1 and Expression 2 Machines The Expression series operates primarily via physical cartridges that you plug into the machine, as well as via an online portal called Cricut Craft Room. Please be aware that Craft Room can only use .ccr file types, which Cricut and Provo Craft have exclusive distribution rights to. With that in mind, you cannot use any of the files sold here at SVG Salon with Craft Room. However, the Expression machines are able to be connected to a program called Sure Cuts A Lot, which can use SVGfiles, which we offer in all of our listings. Should you have this program, please ensure that you have verified that the version you have works with your machine prior to purchasing any files.

These files are available for PERSONAL and SMALL BUSINESS COMMERCIAL use. This means that you may use each file you purchase to create any physical object to use personally, give to a friend, or sell a maximum of 100 items via your small business. However, you MAY NOT use the files, or any part of them, to sell digitally in any format, including digitizing the images for resale as embroidery files. You are also prohibited from sharing these files with anybody. The file you purchase is only licensed for your use. Should you share it with or sell it to anyone, you are infringing on the SSD terms of use and copyright.

Right click on the folder of files you downloaded and select ‘Extract All.’ This will take your files, unzip them, and place the usable files in a NEW folder. Remember where that folder is saved on your computer! And remember to open the files from that folder, and not the initial zipped folder, as they are both still saved on your computer, unless you delete the zipped folder after extracting.

Most likely you are trying to open an incorrect file type for your software. Remember, SVG files cannot be opened in the free basic edition of studio, so try the DXF file instead.
