This is cross stitch pattern of an iconic native New Zealand Flax Flower, or Harakeke. New Zealand flax is a big plant that grows in swamps. It has long, sword-shaped leaves that grow in a fan shape, and tall branches of flowers. Tūī and other birds love to feed on the flower’s nectar.
The finished design measures 22 cm x 8 cm, when stitched on 14ct Aida. This design uses black floss only on natural coloured Aida.
Your Flax Flower pattern will be available for download as a 2 page PDF.
