FAQs

For my prices, I only factor in the cost of materials (super glue, soap, peroxide, and heat lamps for my beetles) and actual man hours (er, woman hours?) where I am physically handling the skull for purposes of removing the hide and/or mounting. Considering the minimal cost of all these things, I feel it is only right to pass on the savings to you, the buyer.

Most of my skulls are completely intact, including mandibles and all teeth. However, if a skull IS broken or missing pieces, it will be reflected in product photos and in the listing itself. Bear in mind, depending on the age of the animal in question, some might be shedding baby teeth. Some may strike their heads on hard surfaces like rocks and trees shortly before they die. I do take imperfections into consideration when pricing these skulls, but such imperfections are rare and may make for a more interesting piece.

Actually, bones are NOT naturally white. Bones which are sold by shops for crafts or teaching are often bleached with peroxide to give them that gleaming white appearance. I choose to keep my skulls natural because not every customer wants a "pristine" look. If you would prefer to have a bleached skull, please do not hesitate to ask. It may add a day to processing time.

The price you see on each listing is for individual specimens. The photos and listing reflect how many are available at the stated price. If you want to order more than one, be sure to use the "Quantity" drop-down box. I list multiple skulls in each listing because (apologies to the site) Etsy charges a separate fee for each one. It also allows me to factor in any similar imperfections the skulls may have.
