Yarn substitution:
I wanted the bell shaped sleeves to have a nice drape instead of hanging too stiff, that’s why I choose this yarn and went up one needle size. I suggest you pick a yarn with a natural drape like angora, mohair or if you rather make it a summer sweater try a cotton mix with bamboo or silk. Don’t forget to make a swatch and see if you do get that drapey look.

The model is shown in Carezza from Adriafil [70% angora, 10% wool, 20% polyamide; 91yd \/ 83m per 25g ball].
Needles: 1 set US 10 \/ 6 mm straight or circular or other size to obtain gauge.
1 set US 10\/ 6 mm double pointed or circular (for the smaller sizes: of length 16 in \/ 40 cm; for the larger sizes: of length 24 in\/60 cm)
1 tapestry needle.

GAUGE
16 sts \/ 20 rows = 4 inch \/ 10 cm in stockinette stitch using US 10 \/ 6 mm needles
16 sts \/ 24 rows = 4 inch \/ 10 cm in garter stitch using US 10 \/ 6 mm needles

k2tog (right-leaning decrease): knit 2 together
M1L (left-leaning increase): Insert left needle, from front to back, under strand of yarn which runs between last stitch on left needle and first stitch on right needle; knit this stitch through back loop. 1 stitch increased.
