1. What is oilcloth?
Oilcloth is a durable and waterproof vinyl fabric. It differs from laminated fabrics in that it is vinyl laid down on a thin mesh of cotton as opposed to cotton fabric that has been laminated on one side. Both sides of oilcloth are waterproof and wash easily.
2. Who makes your bags?
I do! Everything in my shop is sewn one at a time by hand in my studio in Catskill, NY.
3. Are your bags lined?
No, each of my bags are one single layer of oilcloth making them sturdy yet flexible enough to mold to whatever the contents. Both sides of the bags, inside and out, are waterproof and washable.
4. Do you sell wholesale?
I do! Send me a convo if you're interested in seeing the line sheet from my Etsy Wholesale shop.
5. I found a pattern I like in one size, but I can't find it in another size, why not?
People purchase different sizes at different rates so sometimes I may only have a few left of a particular pattern, in a particular size.
6. Can I get a different color zipper on my bag?
I buy all of my zippers in bulk so the colors you see are the only ones I stock. As far as switching colors between bags, I try to make many bags in advance so I'm well stocked at all times. Because of this I can't switch up the zipper colors.
7. I ordered a bag but it's too big! Can I exchange it?
All of the dimensions of the bags are listed in the description so please read the listings carefully before ordering. If you still think your bag is too big (or too small) please contact me and I can do an exchange. You will be responsible for return shipping costs.
8. I'm an international customer and am still waiting for my order, can you tell me where it is?
Unfortunately, no. Unless I register my international packages (which is very expensive) I really don't know what happens once they leave the US and I can't be held responsible. The good news is, I ship international all the time and have only ever had one lost package!
9. When I went to pick up my (international) package there were extra fees! I already paid for shipping!
Sometimes certain governments impose duties or custom charges on top of what it costs to ship the package. This is government by government and a totally separate charge from what it cost me to ship the package to you.
