The largest one, behind the Xed Stitches text, is an unidentified tartan. The other 3 are from the left: Anderson, Campbell, and Stewart mourning.
No. Both "ancient" and "modern" refer only to the shades of the colors used. "Ancient" is misleading in that it is newer than so-called "modern" tartans. The shades that I use are as close as possible to what is indicated in the official pattern for each tartan.
