Item details

This is a triangular 6' loom like was used in the early 1800's for the construction of the shawls that every well dressed lady wore. The shawls are coming back into style and this is a fine way to make beautiful gifts. The operation of the loom is explained on line at under sites>family living center. I find that weaving is a way to relax in the evenings. I put on some music and just weave. I must admit, I weave faster with bluegrass that I do with Bach.
This loom is constructed of cherry wood and is put together using bolts with wing-nuts. It will be shipped dis-assembled but is very easy to put back together.

It's here and I love it! Thank you for shipping so carefully and quickly. I'm spinning like blazes so I can get some handspun incorporated into my first shawl! Seller is super nice and a great communicator. Thank you!
