Unusually for a succulent, this plant grows well if not allowed to dry out for any length of time. The pairs of leaves are joined back to back around the stem, giving the appearance of being threaded on. The stems can grow to 3 feet long (100cms) and remain upright for the first foot (30cms), then grow side ways for the rest of their length as they collapse under their own weight. Occasional pruning deals with this problem, or alternatively this plant can be grown in a hanging pot / basket. Needs a little shade from full sun. Water sparingly over Winter.
Non variegated variety also available.
