1/2-Ounce Bag of Natural Silver Appleyard Duck Breast Feathers, Domestic Duck Feathers, Feathers for Crafts, Fly Tying, Naturally Shed
This listing is for a 1/2-ounce bag of beautifully soft, natural domestic duck feathers that were naturally shed from our healthy, happy flock of free-ranging Silver Appleyard ducks.
I carefully select these from their favorite lounging areas in the farmyard and gently wash them by hand.
This assortment comes in a gorgeous array of white, white speckled, and chestnut-tipped breast feathers.
The feathers pictured are the ones for purchase.
Soft, fluffy and gently cleaned, they are ready to be put to creative use!
These would be great for dream catchers, jewelry, fly tying, or any other craft you wish to use them for.
They range in length from 3-4 inches long.
*Feathers may need to be steamed and re-shaped after storage.
Your purchase will go towards the preservation of this beautiful heritage breed.
Silver Appleyard ducks are a large, dual-purpose breed that originated in England in the 1930's. Laid back and docile, they make a great flock for the family farm. They are active foragers and great layers of large, white eggs. Duck eggs are awesome for baking and homemade ice cream!
Our ducks spend their days happily foraging, basking, and swimming in the creek at the family farm.

*CARE OF ITEMS*
Polymer clay is a very sturdy, durable and waterproof material.
All painted jewelry and sculptures are sealed with varnish, but it is advisable not to expose them to too much moisture or solvents. A damp rag is sufficient for cleaning pieces.
Clean delicate detail on sculptures very carefully, since they are the most prone to breakage.
