This charming 1940s-era photo album stands at the ready to collect and display your favorite printed photos (remember those?!), postcards, and other bits of memorabilia. Branded with an image of the Bay Bridge and "Oakland, Calif.", and featuring a colorful desert scene (um, there's not much desert 'round Oakland, but we'll go with it) this album is the perfect gift for your favorite Northern Californian—even if that's yourself!—or the ideal memento of a visit to the Bay Area.
The album has solid wood front and back covers bound together with a leather tie, 26 blank pages, and what looks like a waxed linen strip connecting the two parts of the front cover. This is such an unusual, charming album. Fill it with snaps and display it on your coffee table to show your Oakland pride and your vintage style.
:: Condition :: All of the parts here are in *amazingly* good condition: the covers are in great shape, the leather tie holding them together is clean and supple, and the pages are crisp and clean with no marks, creases, or tears; they smell vaguely of wood, but definitely don't have the musty smell that paper of this age often gets.
There's one very small surface scratch on the bottom right edge of the front cover that's visible if you look very closely, and the last page in the album has absorbed a bit of the natural oils from the back cover, but that's it!
:: Measurements :: The album is 9 3/4" by ≈7" by 3/4".
:: Shipping :: My standard domestic shipping method is USPS Priority Mail. Whenever possible, I'll ship using Priority Mail flat-rate boxes, and will refund the difference if you're charged more than $2 above what it actually costs me to ship your package.
