Item details

This cotton print came from the estate of an avid world traveling seamstress. This is more of a decorator weight, not a quilting cotton. It measures 33" from selvage to selvage.

From the literature that accompanied the fabric:
" Maridadi is a Swahili word meaning decorative, pretty, fancy, and has been taken as the brand name of a unique style of fabrics which are locally designed and produced at the factory, part of St. John's Community Centre in Pumwani, Nairobi.
This cottage industry project exists to provide jobs for Pumwani's needy, unemployed women in training them in the technique of silk-screen printing."

Additional policies

All goods are machine washable and dryable unless specifically instructed not to do so. With care these quality textiles can be enjoyed by many generations.
