Cobh, known from 1850 until the late 1920s as Queenstown, is a tourist seaport town on the south coast of County Cork, Ireland. The first time I caught sight of it was when I was a teenager, leaving Ireland for a french exchange on board a ferry. We all stood out on the deck waving goodbye to the colourful facades lined up under the impressive St.Coleman's Cathedral. Years and years later I returned to gather photographs and impressions for this paper model kit. The town itself is full of interesting buildings - but, as always, it is those old pubs and shops which inspire me most.
This kit contains 5 models to cut out and make. Each one is inspired by an actual building in Cobh, Co.Cork , Ireland. The gables and rears of the buildings are adorned with observations of the town itself, allowing the person assembling the kit to discover beautiful details.
Size of each model: approx 13cm x 6cm x 10cm Scale: 1:76 ( ideal for 00 guage model railways)
