Item details

Vintage 1950s Butterick 8367 sewing pattern and instructions for JR. MISSES' & MISSES' DRESS: MAGIC-TO-MAKE "Square dance" dress with tiered skirt. (A) Puffed-sleeve version. (B) Ruffled sleeves and wide cummerbund. (C) Bias-tape bound version with shoulder bows.

Would be a great pattern for a dance dress or just Rockabilly fun.

Pattern is new, unused / uncut in factory-folded (FF) condition. The envelope is in fair condition with some discoloration on the front and back and several large tears on the front and side, but the instructions are 100% intact as are the pattern pieces.

This design is marked for a junior misses' Size 11 which is noted as a 31-1/2" Bust, 24-1/2" Waist and 33-1/2" Hip though I would not be concerned with the sizing if the style and shape are right for your project. There are an endless number of websites and blogs offering step-by-step instructions on how to accurately resize vintage sewing patterns for the perfect fit.

Although the exact date of this pattern is unknown, the evolution of Butterick's method of sizing their patterns places it between 1956 and 1966.
