Item details

This is a 6-page *PDF pattern* for a Scood, which can be worn around the neck like a scarf or pulled up over the head like a hood (hence the name!). The scood is fastened by pulling the decorative fan-shaped end on one side through a slotted ribbing on the other end (see photos). The body of the scood is knitted in a basketweave pattern, with a rolled edge, and the fan shapes at each end are knitted in a lace pattern, and edged with crocheted shells.

The pattern is intended for the personal use of the purchaser, and is not meant to be used commercially.

2 skeins of Patons Classic Wool yarn
size 10 needles
3 size 5 double pointed needles
size H crochet hook
You may also want to use a length of smooth yarn for the provisional cast on.

Included in this pattern is a technique feature that gives detailed, illustrated instructions for the crocheted chain provisional cast on, plus a few tips for using this cast on.

***SIZE: One size fits all.
