Ergonomic Loom Stand As seen in the "Cool Stuff" section of the 2016 December/January 2017 issue of Beadwork magazine
Did you know A recent study published in the journal 'Surgical Technology International' shows that when you are standing or sitting straight your head weighs, 10 to 12 lbs. on average. But if you lean 15 degrees forward, the head weight is more like 27 lbs. With a 30-degree tilt, 40 lbs. A 45-degree angle and it feels like 49 lbs. And when you are hunched over at a 60-degree angle your head puts a 60 lbs. strain on your neck.
I love to create beautiful little bracelets on my little wire loom; only my back and neck were beginning to suffer. After several visits to my chiropractor and lectures on maintaining proper posture I decided to do something about it! I am very happy to say, No more bi-monthly $45 Chiropractor visits over my love for bead looming And let’s face it, That is $90 I could be spending on BEADS!
The Ergonomic Loom Stand is made in the USA. Hand crafted of solid wood and stands approx. 12.00" x 3.50" Brass chain allows you to easily choose an angle for your personal comfort. A magnet secured to the front holds your needle while you take a break. Genuine leather is used to cover 2 Velcro strips that secure your wire loom to the stand.
As seen in the third photo The Ergonomic Loom Stand can also be used to hold a pattern should you decide to work on an off loom beading project.
The Ergonomic Loom Stand works well with the Jewel loom as well. Should you use a Jewel Loom please let me know so the Velcro can be adjusted accordingly for your needs. Should your loom be wider than my little wire loom, Custom orders are welcome
