General information & FAQs about my polymer clay beads:
- I use a mix of different polymer clay brands.
- I use regular clay and liquid clay, and a mix of the two for various effects.
-There is a free tutorial for my faceted polymer clay beads at Sculpey's website. It is linked on the left sidebar at my blog.
-The colorations and designs on the beads are either the result of: millefiori techniques (different colored clay in specifically created designs applied on the bead); acrylic or other appropriate-for polymer paints, Sharpie permanent marker, colored pencils, or a mix of these mediums. The non-clay color mediums are sometimes applied topically after curing, sometimes mixed into the clay or applied topically prior to curing, and sometimes a mix of techniques is used.
-I use different inclusions to create texture and various effects. I have experimented a lot over several years, and the inclusions I use now have proven to stand well over time. Inclusions are cured into the clay and become a part of the structure of the bead, so there will be very little to no loss. The inclusions are inert; examples are: glitter, mosaic grout, paper, sterilized dry potting soil, dry concrete mix, and foil. Anything outside these general bounds will be included in the description.
-I use the general term "grit" and "grit inclusions" to signify different combinations of concrete, mosaic grout, and potting soil.
-Examples of things I never use as embellishments in or on my beads: nail polish, make-up, food products (like spices, coffee grounds, tea, etc.,) oils, shoe polish, etc.
-The sealants I use on my beads are Sculpey glazes in satin and glossy. I also sometimes use a crackle medium over paints and the glazes; it is specifically made for crafts and is suited for polymer clay and acrylic paint. I also sometimes use small amounts of microcrystalline wax on unglazed beads that have inclusions and/or post-curing embellishments.
-I use a regular bead reamer to make the bead holes prior to curing. This makes a very even, rounded, and smooth inner surface area and is very easy to string. The bead holes are usually about 2mm. Larger or smaller bead holes will be noted in the descriptions.

Shipping & policies
For regular items, I usually ship within 5 business days upon receipt of payment. I usually ship on Saturday mornings. If your order is time sensitive, please let me know either prior to purchase or within a 'note to seller' on your order.
I use the ever-reliable USPS 1st class parcel service with tracking information included. Express services, etc. are available by prior arrangement and agreed upon applicable service and handling fees.
For custom and made-to-order items, it is my general goal to ship within a week and a half of payment. There are circumstances under which it will be shorter than or longer than a week and a half. If turnover time is an issue with your order, please inquire with a convo prior to purchase. I will do everything possible to complete orders as quickly as possible.
If ready-to-ship items are purchased in the same transaction along with custom or made-to-order items, they receive a more economical "combined shipping" rate; they will be shipped when the special order items are completed and will therefore have a longer shipping timeframe. If you would like the ready-to-ship items to arrive more quickly, combine all ready-to-ship items into one transaction and all custom and/made-to-order items into another, separate transaction.
I ship worldwide. If there are any discrepancies or omissions in my shipping fees, please convo me so I can set the fees correctly
I accept Paypal & credit cards via Etsy's 'direct checkout' feature. I ship after payment is confirmed. If you are a new Etsy or Paypal customer and find difficulties with the checkout process, please do not hesitate to contact me by a convo so I can put your deisred items on reserve for you until things are squared away.
Please note that by default I ship to the ETSY address.
Returns & exchanges
Generally, all sales are final. I have taken care to document all materials, dimensions, dynamics, and anything that could be perceived as a flaw or imperfection within the photos and item description. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions about items prior to purchase.
However, your absolute satisfaction is important to me, and I realize there are situations in which exchanges, refunds, and returns are in order, and such issues will be addressed appropriately.
*Reserve Policies and Information*
Generally, my reserve policy is that I will reserve items for up to one week. I will consider reserves to be an agreement or commitment of purchase. Favoriting or even adding to cart can be used as an effective placeholder to consider the item. The timeframe for reserves is of course subject and amendable to circumstances. I ask that new customers please include relevant information (timeframe until purchase/commitment to purchase, the exact listing url, etc.) within an initial reserve inquiry convo.
Note too, that I may sometimes initiate a reserve for various reasons. In such case, this is done for my own convenience and there of course is no obligation to purchase.
If a an order marked as "RESERVED" or "CUSTOM" in the title is purchased by someone other than for whom it is intended, the order will be cancelled.
Wholesale orders and inquiries from resellers, boutique owners, and individuals are very welcome. Please inquire for details.
Special gift wrapping and short notes are available for free upon request.
