This listing is for: 1 needle felted fairy garden style pincushion.

Add a touch of whimsy to your craft space with this useful and pretty pincushion! Made up of quality colored wool batting and wool roving, it has been felted over several hours to give it a firm enough body to hold your sewing needles, yet it is still soft to the touch. It is also tall enough for longer needles, such as the barbed felting needles I used to make it. An adorable little pumpkin-shaped fairy house tops the small fairy hill with a welcoming pathway leading up to it. Small dots of flowers pepper the hill and more decorate the two windows found on each side of the house. Curling tendrils of colored lambs locks top the pumpkin house.

Approximate size: 2.75" wide by 4.375" tall, including the fairy house. The house itself is about 2.375" tall and the hill is 2" tall. Colors on your screen may vary from the items you receive, sometimes lighter, sometimes a little darker.

I ship all items in my shop via USPS Priority Mail, which has about a 3-5 day delivery time. My processing time is 3-5 business days, but I do try to get items out sooner than this as often as possible. Below this listing you will find my FAQ section, but please feel free to convo me with any questions prior to ordering. Please keep in mind that once orders are placed, I cannot combine them to give you one shipping price. Separate orders will have to ship separately. FAQs

The Velvet Harvest does not do custom or personalized orders. Unfortunately, time doesn't allow for these, and I've had too many difficulties with customers not following through and purchasing what they requested to be made. While I understand if a customer may choose not to follow through and purchase, this does take away from my time that I need to be doing other things for the shop and my family. I used to consider doing custom orders for existing customers, until those too started backing out of purchasing. Thank you for understanding.

To best care for your displayed velvet pumpkins, dust occasionally with a dust roller (those rollers of masking tape with handles). Do not pick them up by the stems. If storing, try not to stack them on top of one another in the box as heavier pumpkins could leave indentations in the velvet of the pumpkin below it. Wipe stems with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust. Store in a cool, dry location only, away from humidity, in a lidded container.

The Velvet Harvest does not do wholesale orders. There is simply not enough time nor materials to cover wholesale orders and the Fall demand in the shop. Very sorry for this inconvenience!

The Velvet Harvest does not offer gift wrapping options at this time. I do, however, suggest a nice, sturdy gift bag if you are giving it as a gift. Pumpkin stems can make gift boxes a bit difficult to use.

I'm very sorry, but once you've placed an order, I cannot combine it with another order. I will have to ship each order as it was placed so that the system will mark that it has been properly fulfilled and the order closed (If this doesn't happen, I may get in trouble with Etsy). I do, however, give shipping refunds if it amounts to more than $2. Anything $2 or below I keep to help reimburse the cost of shipping materials.

All screens show color differently. That being said, if you're unsure how similar two colors may be, I could give you some insight based on my own opinion. Velvet pumpkins do work with a wide range of styles, but you in the end are the only one that can know if they will look good in your space.

Any additional inventory I may have will still need to be photographed, listings made, etc., so that customers can see and know exactly what they would be getting. When Fall buying season hits it's peak (generally July through November), I try to always do weekly updates of new items. While I am always building up my stock in the background, what you see in the shop is truly all I have available to ship at that time.

Multiple orders cannot be combined once the orders have been placed. If you need to send items to more than one address, please place those orders separately.

U.S. customers: I typically ship USPS Priority Mail, which has a delivery of about 2-3 days and this is what my shipping price quotes are based on in listings. I do this so that you are getting the best deal for faster shipping, in the hope that your pumpkins arrive as safely as possible. If your order total exceeds the $100 insurance that comes with some U.S. mail options, or if there is no insurance included in the cost of shipping already, I may add insurance to the shipping. This may be as little as $0.75 or as much as $3, it depends on the order.

International customers: Please be aware that as of January 2016, the U.S. Postal Service has raised international prices significantly from what they were. I cannot lower shipping costs for you (the only way it could get any lower is if I myself paid for your shipping, and I cannot afford to do so), but as with U.S. orders, I can refund shipping overages of more than two U.S. Dollars. Please keep in mind any shipping quotes you are seeing are in U.S. dollars.

Individual items are likely to ship First Class International, but sometimes due to weight (4 pounds and over), the package may have to go Priority Mail International. Items likely to need to ship Priority Mail International are extra large-sized pumpkins and pumpkin sets or orders of three or more items. I do tend to use a little more packaging (bubble wrap and packing peanuts, extra tape to secure the outside of the box) when sending overseas or to Canada simply because I want your order to arrive safely, but this does add weight to the package. I also tack on insurance, which usually costs less than $3 or so, but could also be slightly more depending on the order.

General shipping notes: Because of the handmade nature of my items, I have to post shipping prices for them individually and as if they might be mailed the furthest distance from me - in this case that is California or Washington state for U.S. buyers. As noted in all my listings, I do give partial shipping refunds where they apply and you will receive a separate email notifying you if you have received a partial shipping refund. I do keep $2 of any shipping overages for the purpose of reimbursing for shipping materials, but anything after that is refunded to the buyer. If the shipping overages are $2 or less, the buyer does not get a shipping refund. In many cases, I am able to give shipping refunds.

Issuing shipping overage refunds can easily be done whether you pay via a credit card or via PayPal. It may take a few days to see your refund if you use a credit card. PayPal refunds happen quicker.

I ship during the business week, usually within 3-5 business days, but if I have no obstacles, I often ship sooner than this. I will always ship as soon as possible. If there is an obstacle to me shipping within my timeframe I will Etsy convo you ASAP.

INCORRECT ADDRESSES for PAYPAL or DIRECT CHECKOUT: Please be sure your PayPal and Direct Checkout addresses are current and correct. In the case of lost orders due to incorrect address, I will, of course, work with you and the US Postal Service to recover your package and send it on to it's destination. International customers, please understand that delivery of your items can take up to 6-8 weeks, depending on factors such as USPS delivery issues and the time customs may spend examining your shipment. I will always keep in touch with you regarding delivery, and I always appreciate knowing if your shipment arrives safe and sound. Please note that shipping costs to resend item(s) due to incorrect address are the responsibility of the buyer.

International buyers are responsible for any and all applicable customs fees. Even if you purchase an item as a "gift" for another person, it is likely that customs fees will still be applicable. Legally, I cannot, and will not, mark international shipments as "gift."

Please also keep in mind that each country sets their own laws as to what constitutes a shipment being processed for additional taxes and fees. Please keep these rates in mind when considering purchasing an item. www.dutycalculator.com allows you to do a simple search to discover what your country's likely import duty may amount to, based on item value, shipping, etc. Your local tax office will also have documentation useful in determining potential import duties.

Payments

Payment accepted in US dollars via PayPal. You do not have to have an existing PayPal account in order to pay via direct checkout with credit card. I also accept Etsy gift cards. Orders will be shipped when payment has been received. Etsy's Direct Checkout is also an option.

Alabama residents pay an applicable sales tax of 9%.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
Shipping overages of more than $2.00 USD will be refunded to your account. Please see the Shipping Policy for more details on shipping refunds.

Item refunds are available on a case by case basis. I do my best to accurately describe the item and point out any flaws, but please understand that you are purchasing a handmade item, and each piece is unique (occasionally you may be able to see a little glue around a pumpkin stem, for example). I package your items carefully for shipping, but unless I misrepresent an item, I am unable to accept returns, except in cases of damage during shipment or complete loss/non-delivery of item(s).

I will always work closely with you in cases of non-delivery/loss. In many cases, the USPS is good about filing loss reports, and I always check first with them in attempts to locate your packages.

In the case of damaged shipments, please be aware that you may need to provide pictures of the damaged item(s) to me, preferably with the original packaging included in these photos, for purposes of damage and insurance claims.

Returns must be approved and posted within 7 days of receipt of item. In all return cases, no refunds shall be made until the item(s) are received by me, in original condition / as shipped (In most cases, for U.S. orders, this is U.S. Priority Mail). You must use the original or similar packaging, it must be packaged safely and it must be shipped with tracking. The cost of returning items is the responsibility of they buyer. You will not receive a reimbursement for shipping the order back to me.

Additional policies

Unfortunately I cannot do custom orders. Being that this is not my primary day job, I don't have enough time to do additional orders from what is shown on my store.

On items seen with the pumpkins in pictures, i.e. the decorative berry ring, other pumpkins in the backgrounds, and any such props - they are for photo purposes only and are not included with the purchase of any pumpkin or acorn set. Please be sure to refer to the descriptions in each listing for exactly what is included in purchases. All pumpkins and acorn sets listed are finished products that are ready to ship - the items shown are the exact items you, they buyer, would receive.

For current pictures of items taken in 2015, I purchased most decorative background items at a Michael's craft store.
