The base yarn for Sadie Sock HT is 100% superwash merino wool in a wonderfully soft single ply texture with a high twist for added strength. It is machine washable.

400yds/ 100g. Recommended needle size is US#3/ 3mm- #4/ 3.5mm for 7-8 sts/ 1".

These items are ready to ship!
All stocked items are shipped within 3-4 days of payment confirmation (taking into consideration Sundays, no mail pick up).
These items need a little extra time to be born, fully dried, inspected, and packaged.
All custom orders on quantities of 6 skeins or less are shipped between 7-14 days after payment confirmation.
Custom orders on quantities of 7 skeins or more are shipped between 7-21 days after payment confirmation.
Please note that I do make it my priority to get your goodies to you as fast as I can! Most orders do ship within a 2 week period.
In the event of a major weather condition, shipments may be affected. In this case, I will contact you directly to discuss more accurate shipping dates.
International shipments of large orders will most likely result in "shipping overage" costs. These overages will be adjusted and refunded back to you upon shipment.
Accepted forms of payment through Paypal / credit cards through paypal; items must be paid in full before shipping. If your paypal /credit card payment is not completed within 24 hours of the sale,I ask that you please contact me so the order won't be cancelled.
Custom orders must be paid in full prior to creation and shipping.
Returns & exchanges
Please let me know as soon as possible through convo if you are unhappy with your items, so that I may do my best to resolve the problem.
I do my very best to accurately represent each color photographically, being mindful of each individual's monitor/screen settings. All of my photos are taken outdoors in natural daylight so I am working with the elements. Each of my listed yarns come with a color description to be sure there is no further confusion. If you are unsure about a color, please let me know. I am understanding of this and will do my best to provide further information if needed.
Stocked items are refundable (not including s/h either way) if the items are received within 40 days of the date purchased, and it is received in the same condition as it was sold. In this case, I ask that you provide a tracking number so that I may keep you up to date on the transaction.
** Unfortunately, I do not accept exchanges. If you are interested in another item, please purchase it through the Etsy shop and request a refund on your current item as stated above.
Custom orders will be credited an 80% refund (not including s/h either way) if the items are received within 40 days of the date purchased (i.e. when paid in full) and if the item is in the same condition as it was sold.
General/Natural issues: (oh boy, knots)
As I hand hank each skein, I inspect and touch every inch of the yarn before I dye it, so if there is a knot, I will know. In this case, the item description will include "contains knot/s." However, there is just the slightest chance for human error. If you find a horrible knot that is unbearable and has not been documented, please let me know.
In most cases, the single item in question will be refunded as a "stocked item," upon it's return to me.
If you do find excessive knots, and decide not to return the item, I would like to know so that I may resolve any future quality control issues.

*Please Note: Items must be clean! Items that have been balled, wound, re-skiened or used in any way may not be returned. If there is a problem with the item after this is done, please convo me and I will do my best to resolve the problem.
1: I see a listings that I love, but I need a larger quantity! How can I order more?
A: I am more than happy to create a custom listing just for you! If you need lots of skeins for a blanket/sweater/ etc, I can make it happen. Just let me know how many. I will create a separate listing with a "RESERVED for (your name)" and post it to the shops main page. This listing will include pricing for all requested skeins and shipping, listed as one item. As soon as payment is confirmed, I will begin creating. Custom orders take a little longer to create.
2: Do you have a "Dyed to order" section?
A: Not as of yet. The reason is simply because this is not my only occupation (I really wish it was). I work 2 other jobs. Due to time restraints, It is not possible to complete a list of custom orders AND stock the shop efficiently to showcase all of my available colorways. I never turn down a custom request unless I am unable to work (hospital, vacation, etc).
3: Do you ever create a listing with more than 2-4 skeins available?
A: It is very rare. Most listings have 2 skeins available. Some of my more popular colorways have 4 skeins available. Again, I love to do custom orders, so please don't be afraid to let me know if you require more skeins!
4: Are there dye lots on your yarns?
A: As long as the skeins are dyed together, they will have the same dye lot. All listings provide that information in the descriptions. Custom orders are always dyed together.
Variegated/speckled yarns always have the same basic coloration, but due to the nature of hand dyeing, the color lengths/speckle patterns will vary (even in the same dye lot). It is highly recommended to alternate skeins by row when working with more than one skein, since this will prevent color pooling.
5: I ordered some yarn but I need one more skein to complete my project! Do you have any more in this dye lot?
A: Any time a new bath is created from scratch, it will always be a different dye lot. The good news is, I have a very strict recipe for each colorway, and I make lots of notes if something is slightly altered. Chances are that your additional skein will look the same, but it is highly recommended that you purchase a bit more yarn than needed in your initial order (this is true for ANY yarn, regardless of brand).
6: I ordered a color, but it wasn't what I was expecting. What can we do?
A: All of my photos are taken in natural daylight to accomplish the best possible color representation for you. In addition, I have provided a color description with all listing to eliminate color confusion. But keep in mind, different bases absorb the dyes at different rates/amounts! Cashmere and alpaca tend to be less vibrant, and non-superwash has very little sheen.

7: I need a color/base that you have discontinued, can I still get it?
A: Contact me directly. Bases are tricky since they are more often discontinued by the manufacturer. Colorways are easier. I keep a detailed record of discontinued color recipes, so they can be recreated if needed.
8: I purchased a pattern, but I don't understand a certain section. Can you help me?
A: ABSOLUTELY! Contact me. I love to talk about knitting and I want to help!
