Still softly fragrant with the scent of lilac, these dried flower bunches will look beautiful in an everlasting arrangement, bouquet, wreath or potpourri. There are 12 to 15 stems in a bunch, and they range from 12" to 17" long.
The leaves have been stripped and the purple colors have been enhanced with floral dyes, but please do not expect these to be purple like fresh flowers. The dried flower colors fade to a dusky brownish or grayish purple.

Besides being one of the loveliest tokens of spring, lilacs also have meaning in early cultures. These fragrant shrubs were originally planted near entryways to send out protective energy and repel evil. Lilacs brought into the home were thought to remove any unwanted spirits and cleanse the living space.

In the Victorian language of flowers, called floriography, people would convey messages of interest, love or dislike depending upon which flowers were given, their sizes, how they were held, or grouped together. Floral arrangements had a silent meaning of their very own, and could "say" what was not dared to be spoken. In this time, purple lilacs represented the first emotions of love.

In Wiccan and pagan spiritual practices, lilacs are ruled by Venus, and are used in love spells. These lilacs can be placed on your altar while performing a love spell, or can make a powerful addition to any love sachet.

Shipping is from New Hampshire via USPS, with the most economical service.

Please make sure you provide a correct current address. Your label is printed with the address as YOU provide it. If you give the wrong address, and there are problems with delivery, I am not responsible for incorrectly entered addresses. If your item is returned to me, I will ask that you purchase another mailing label through Etsy. I can not cover your shipping costs when you have given me an incorrect address.

If you are in a hurry, you must contact me BEFORE - NOT AFTER you order so that I may adjust the shipping method and price, or let you know if it is not possible to meet your deadline. Many of my items are gathered upon your order and it may take several days before I can go out into the forest to collect and process your items. Orders placed with a time frame will be cancelled and refunded unless you have communicated with me BEFORE the order is placed.

I can not help you if you tell me AFTER your item has been purchased that you have a deadline. Some orders go out the same day they are purchased - once they go out I have no control over what happens with USPS mail.

Most items will be mailed out within three business days of payment, with exceptions made for inclement weather, custom orders and lamp shades.

Once your item is in the mail, I can not change the shipping method. I can not speed up your delivery, nor can I predict what day you will receive your item. Etsy will provide a tracking number in your account and you can visit USPS.com to check on the progress of your package.

Lampshades, expensive items and breakable items are insured. If you receive a damaged item, I will need photos of the item and the box to file a claim.

I use recycled packing materials. Reduce, reuse recycle!

Smaller lightweight items will be mailed USPS first class which can take 2 to 9 days.

Packages over 1 pound will be mailed priority which usually takes 2 to 7 days.

For the most accurate shipping costs on multiple orders, please convo me with the items you want and your zip code, and I can give you a price.

If you need an item expedited, please convo me and I will change the listing and price accordingly. Having said this, I live in a remote part of NH where USPS Express mail can take a day longer than advertised. Depending where you live, and what day of the week it is, it may not be possible to mail your item overnight or two day delivery.

If you place an order PLEASE check back into Etsy and look at your messages in the next few days. If I have a question, or a problem, or your address is wrong, and you do not answer my convos, I have a very hard time knowing what to do with your order.

Additional return information
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you must contact me within 3 days of delivery so that we can discuss a solution. I can see when your item has been delivered.

There are no returns on custom orders, lampshades, herbs, fresh greens, tinctures, salves, albums, sale items, perishable items, or other items specifically stated as final sale in the description. Other returns will be considered on a case by case basis. Sometimes I make a mistake, or something happens in transit, and I may be able to replace your item. Most returns seem to be related to unread descriptions. Please read the full description and view all photos to see what you are ordering. I am happy to send more photos or answer any questions if you are not sure.

If I agree to a return, postage cost will be the responsibility of the buyer. I do not reimburse shipping costs unless I have made an error in your order.


Do not return a lampshade or any other items unless you have messaged me first through Etsy. Returned items must be approved by me and insured by you. Damaged items returned to me will not be refunded. If an item is damaged upon receipt, I will need photos of the damage and packaging. Insurance claims require photos of the item and the box. Refused items returned to me without explanation will not be refunded.

One way to prevent returns is to read the entire description and view all the photos in the listing before you purchase, noting size and measurements and any other details so that your expectations match what is being offered. If you have a specific requirement for an item, please convo me first to be sure the item fits your needs. I am quite willing to send samples when applicable, or take more pictures, measure things or describe items further to satisfy your questions.

For Lampshades:
Before ordering: Please BE SURE that the lampshade hardware and size will work with your lamp base. Lampshade hardware can be changed at no charge to accommodate most lamps. Please ask questions or send photos of your base if you are not sure.

There are NO RETURNS on custom made lampshades. The size you order may be unusable for anyone else. Lampshades are expensive to mail, fragile, and easily damaged. I do not accept returns on lampshades unless I have made an error in size or hardware. Please be absolutely sure of the size and hardware you need for your lamp. I am willing to work very closely with you so that you know what you are getting and it is exactly what you want. I am glad to send samples or photos of papers and floral materials so you can compare colors.

Map images will be shown to you for your approval before ordering. Samples can be sent to you of paper or styrene so you can see the weight and color.

Ready-made IN STOCK lampshades may be returned at YOUR expense, ONLY after speaking with me directly. Shades must be properly packed and boxed, and insured as you received it. Shades that are damaged upon return will not be refunded - for this reason you need to insure the returns yourself. Insurance protects YOU if the returned item is damaged.

If the shade you ordered is damaged in shipping, please retain and photograph the box, contents and packing materials so they may be inspected for the insurance claim. Insurance claims must be backed up with photos. All lampshades are sent insured. Do not return your shade unless you have messaged me through Etsy or spoken with me directly first at 603-284-7468.

Additional policies

Unlike many other Etsy sellers, I personally grow and gather all my own my field and forest products. They are not purchased in bulk from outside sources and repackaged for sale; they are ethically and sustainably grown, harvested or wildcrafted by myself from the pristine fields and forests of New Hampshire. You can be assured of the source, authenticity and freshness of herbs, flowers, bark, berries, and other natural products in my store. While they are gathered, dried, processed and stored as cleanly as possible, wildcrafted and organically grown garden herbs came from the forest, fields, and garden, where they were exposed to wind, rain, soil, birds, insects, and animals. They are not sterile. They may contain very small amounts of other plant material, such as grass, moss, pollen, pine needles, leaf bits, or insects, as they do while growing in nature. Solar drying preserves herbs and drives out or kills insects, but it does not sterilize the plant material. This could only be done with chemicals or extreme heat, both of which would destroy or alter the healing qualities of the plants.

Many of my buyers use herbs externally, or in a ceremonial, spiritual or ritual way, so the safety issue is not the same as those who intend to ingest herbs. In either case, it is up to the buyer to research, prepare and administer herbs in a safe and tested manner. The herbs I sell are generally recognized by herbalists as safe for consumption or application to the skin, but I do not and can not advise how herbs should be used. The FDA and Etsy both prohibit this. If you have a compromised immune system, are already ill, are pregnant, have allergies to pollen or unknown allergies, you should think twice about buying and using herbs off the internet. This can be done only at your own risk.

Herbs are mailed in a no-frills zip lock bag with the contents written on the bag. The bag will be wrapped in paper and mailed in a padded envelope. I do not print labels or have any sort of airtight sealer for herbs. Please note that herbs, tinctures, and salves can not be returned. And please ask questions if you are not sure or want more information. Samples may be available for a small fee - please ask.
