Item details

This is my cross stitch pattern homage to the longest running ruling dynasty of England. The costumes are inspired by the English Heritage Playing cards.

The Plantagenets have some really fabulous personalities, and are the most controversial Kings England has ever had (in my opinion!)

Henry II started the dynasty, ruling over a massive empire but was dogged by controversy over the murder of Thomas Beckett and by the "difficult" personalities of his wife and sons. The dynasty ended some 331 years later with the death of Richard III on the battlefield at Bosworth.

I have made this pattern for use on evenweave, although aida can be used you would need to pierce the fabric to sew the dates.

I would suggest using a darker cream or natural colour fabric so the white and light coloured stitches show.
