Hand cut from the discarded silk off-cuts left over from sari production in India. This waste silk is collected and then hand torn and sewn into these vibrant ribbons by women in local villages creating important income that these women wouldn't otherwise be able to generate.
A brilliant and popular addition to craft baskets for wrapping embellishments (see the rose ribbon in the photo), jewelry, knittings, weaving, making cards - projects really are only limited by your imagination.
Width and color variations will differ due to the hand torn and recycled qualities. Price is a hank of 3.5 oz (100gm) and approx 55 yards (50m).
Colors are selected at random but there is a lot of variety in the ribbon colours in each hank.
