Fibonacci’s Keyboard is an original quilt pattern offered with directions for both queen bed sized and crib sized quilts.
This unique block is based on the symmetry and beauty of the Fibonacci series, which is found in nature in such diverse places as the curves of a Nautilus shell and the seeds on a sunflower. The Fibonacci series is constructed by adding each number to the one before it. It starts at 1+1 and goes on forever.
This pattern is ideal for advanced beginner quilters. It is made from strip sets that are cross‐cut and re‐sewn to form full and partial blocks. It requires accurate cutting, pressing, and sewing a scant 1⁄4” seam. The seams nest frequently throughout the quilt, which improves opportunities for sewing accuracy.
This quilt pattern looks great whether made with a selection of coordinating fabric cuts or with one constant fabric plus a selection of contrasting ones. This pattern uses yardage of 1/3" yard (crib) or 1/2 yard (queen) or larger for each fabric.
The pattern is a digital download with numerous line art illustrations. Cutting, sewing and pressing instructions are given for each step.
